What we build to
This site targets the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. In practice that means semantic headings in order, a skip link to the main content, visible keyboard focus, text that meets contrast requirements against its background, and images that carry alternative text or are marked decorative.
Specific accommodations
- Motion: scrolling review and package rails stop on hover, touch and keyboard focus, and are replaced with ordinary scrollable lists when the visitor's system requests reduced motion
- Duplicated content: visual duplicates used to make a rail loop seamlessly are hidden from assistive technology and removed from the tab order
- Keyboard: every interactive control is reachable and operable by keyboard, and the rails can be driven with arrow keys
- Text alternatives: reviewer photographs fall back to initials when the image is unavailable
- Every page on this site has a plain-text markdown equivalent at the same address with .md appended
